Wow, I had a fantastic experience overall. From Check in with Mili to Karl and Renee at checkout. Specifically, I check out, I had realized the night before I forgot one very very important document. I asked the folks at the front desk if I emailed it to them I think it print it and without hesitation they said absolutely yes. Then after my business meeting I came back to the hotel even though I had checked out and I asked if they wouldn't mind if I changed my clothes since I was getting ready to travel. I said it would be no problem at all and would I like a bottle of water. This kind of service is not seen or delivered very often and the team at this particular Hilton Garden Inn needs to be recognized for it. Thank you!

The staff at this hotel was amazing! We had a group of more than 20 people (most of them 14/15yo boys) and the staff was so accommodating. They let us check in all 8 of our rooms early, since we arrived on an early morning flight. They also made us all a sack breakfast on our last day, since the team had an early morning game that meant we had to leave before the regular breakfast started. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, the restaurant and kitchen staff were fantastic and every person on the cleaning staff was so friendly when you passed them in the hall. The FD manager even made a point to tell us that our group of kids were polite, respectful and well-behaved, which was so nice to hear! I can't recommend this property enough. The rooms were clean and we had no issues findng parking for 2 - 12 passenger vans and a minivan.

BUYER BEWARE - MANAGEMENT AT THIS HOTEL ONLY CARES ABOUT THEIR MONEY! I never leave reviews, but my miserable experience with this hotel compels me to warn others. My daughter's soccer club booked this hotel for an ECNL event in San Diego. Upon learning that our roundtrip commute would exceed 3 hours per game, we modified our reservation to a San Diego Hilton. The point of our group booking is to get enough points to comp our coaches room(s). Despite the entire team modifying their reservations (including our coaches), this hotel charged one night's room & tax charge for each cancelation ($250 in our case). Travel sports is costly enough, but to pay for accommodations that you don't use seems highly punitive to this soccer Dad. When I complained to Hilton Corporate, they advised that this Hotel is owned by the S3 Hotel Group instead (i.e. a franchise) and simply d/b/a a Hilton, so all decisions by this hotel's management were final. Hilton Corporate had ZERO discretion to intervene. Our Midwest soccer team averages 15 travel weekends a year, so we are constantly booking hotels. Since we are subject to weather conditions, it's common that weekends get cancelled - often with little notice - but this is the first time in my experience that a hotel has ever refused to exhibit any decency or understanding. I escalated to the General Manager (Victor Gonzalez), but he refused to return my call. Instead his underlings claimed they had zero discretion other than to enforce their contract language. I am a business development manager myself, so I know this is a lie. My first question was whether they were at full occupancy during our date and they said no. They did not turn away business for our reservation. They were not financially harmed. They simply collected money without providing accommodations or service. In business school, I read a statistic that claimed that for every formal complaint, there was approximately 27 other people who had the same complaint, but failed to take the time to formally lodge it, so on behalf of 27 other people, let me say that Hilton Garden Inn Irvine / Spectrum / Lake Forest & the term "Hospitality" is a contradiction! Enjoyed our 3 day stay , the rooms were comfortable and clean and the staff was all very friendly. We had a problem trying to work the tv and couldn't figure out the air conditioner but the maintenance men were there within 5 min and had us comfortable and every thing was perfect. From then on . The pool and hot tub were awesome and the breakfast buffet was pretty good. We couldn't ask for a better stay anywhere else . Will definitely plan on staying when we come back to visit .

I unloaded, then parked in the basement, and was locked out from the elevator. I had to wait for someone to walk over. Check in after was smooth and the facilities are nice. After buying snacks I went back to the room, and checked out the sheets and noticed three hairs on the fitted sheet. I asked the front desk and they said the room was cleaned today, and that at this time there’s no housekeeping so they could only bring me a comforter. The replacement comforter also had hair on it. I will make due, but it’s irritating and unhygienic.
